I’m Fine, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED

A non-fictional depiction of my visit to Israel on the October, 2023. It’s a composition of almost-interviews with ordinary people—combat soldiers on leave, teachers, fighter pilots, scientists, juice-stand vendors, some guy who threatened to kill me on the street because he thought I was Arabic.

Though the subject of politics can’t be avoided, I’d like to be clear that the main goal of this text isn’t to make a political argument, but to communicate the experience of being in that place, at that time. If you want to broaden your political understanding of the conflict, I recommend listening to Slavoj Zizek.

Content warning: Nothing is described explicitly, but naturally heavy themes are discussed.
